APPLICATIONS
Biochemistry Not determined; appears to be novel. Mode of action Inhibits feeding. Has systemic and translaminar activity and gives long term control. Uses Under development as a foliar, selective aphicide; also effective against some other sucking insects. For use in fruit, cereals, potatoes, cotton and vegetables, at 50-100 g/ha. Formulation types WG.
MAMMALIAN TOXICOLOGY
Oral Acute oral LD50 for male rats 884, female rats 1768 mg/kg. Skin and eye Acute dermal LD50 for rats >5000 mg/kg. Non-irritating to skin and eyes (rabbits). Not a skin sensitiser (guinea pigs). Inhalation (4 h) for male and female rats >4.9 mg/l. Other Negative in Ames test.
ECOTOXICOLOGY
